Our New Van Nov 2010
Thankyou Barry Forbes and his Team from BILLABONG OFFROAD SALES CLONTARF, QLD for their generous donation of a Mitsibishi Van, covering many costs.. This Van will provide a much needed service to many people suffering serious hardship.

THANKYOU to the organisations and groups that have invited us to come and share a meal and do a presentation, from this we have recieved a lot of support and donations that has enabled us to provide more assistance to those we help.

Fotties Christmas Night 23rd Dec 2010 7th Day Adventist Hall.
What another great night had by all, Our xmas breakup for everyone with santa and lots of toys for all the kids, hampers to take home, music, raffles, and yummy tucker.
THANKYOU to all those that helped make this happen.
THANKYOU to Bronwyn and the volunteers from sda caboolture.
THANKYOU to Rev Geoff from the Inner Growth church at delaneys creek.
THANKYOU to the the guys that provided the music.
THANKYOU to the guys and the lovely ladies that slaved away all day in the kitchen and made all the yummy tucker that everyone enjoyed.
THANKYOU to all those that came along for the night and brought their families and childre to share this special night with us.
This was 'Friends of the Street's' first public venue, and it won't be the last, we will be putting on a fotties night monthly providing some great tucker and games for the kids.

The Floods, what a disaster!
Real sad to see people losing their homes and lives, a sad time for australia..
below is caboolture and the caravan park where many people lost their vans and or posessions

Friends of the Street have been closely working with the Sda Church and Adra to aid the flood victims. many trucks of donations went out to many areas.

In his speech Mr Roy thanked the efforts of the many volunteers who helped during the floods including the 'Caboolture Seventh Day Adventist Church'
and 'Friends of the Street' for helping facilitate donations to the people who needed them most. “Such tests bring out the best in us in Queensland. In the face of unspeakable tragedy we have seen remarkable courage and determination. “We have seen the most extraordinary acts of generosity, kindness and compassion,” Mr Roy said.

Homeless issues: Such a sad and shameful situation when there is nowhere to put people living on the streets, transient workers that have lost jobs due to the floods, and especially when it's pouring rain and especially if children are involved, no-one seems to care too much about it, the Community Care, The bussiness people care, The homeless and disadvantaged REALLY care, the pollies care, The police care.....but thats where it grinds to a halt, nobody with the power to change things have got the gumption to put their hand up and say "lets do this now and get some mother and child off the streets!"

Raffles & Sausage Sizzles: We now run 3 Sizzles a week, consisting of 3 teams of 3 Fotty members.
We provide Hot Sizzled Snags, Cold Drinks, Tea & Coffee, Muffins.
