Dear reader,
In this area you are more than welcome to share the writings of your penpal with us. Poems, Art, comments they might have written which made you believe the rest of the world should know about!
Feel free to post anything!
Thank you
Irma

Dear reader,
I have been writing to inmates in the USA for quite some years now. Some on Death Row, others in population.
It is both very rewarding and difficult. Especially when a penpal is depressed, has lost hope and/or faces his execution date.
If you have any questions, please ask them here. If you would like to share your own story (and you are MORE than welcome to do so) please post it here aswell.
Thank you,
Irma

Dearest reader,
Inmates from all over the world, doing time for any kind of crime, are desperate to keep contact with the “outside” world. Especially around the greater holidays, they get sad, lonely and depressed.
So please, if you have some postcards and international stamps left, send some cards. I can give you some addresses in the USA (actually, I have quite a list… ) Otherwise visit the different penpal-writing sites, if you want to send cards to Ozzies or to countries other than the USA!
Just consider this: you will have to write your full name and address (or PO Box) on the envelope, otherwise the card will not be given to the inmate. In the USA there are LOTS of rules considering the mail, so a basic card (meaning: without glitter, glue, stickers etc) would be the best. To Asia you can send whatever you like!
And to show you how much it is apreciated, I quote one of the people I got a thank you note from:
“What you do makes such a wonderful difference! I donot know if you will ever understand it completely without being here yourself. Please know that your kindness, your humour and your caring helps to fill a vast and sometimes overwhelming empiness in the lives of those you touch. Thank you!”
If you would like more information, please send me an email, I will get back to you as soon as possible!
have a wonderful day,
Irma
