The homeless i’m on about here…
I run a group that looks after homeless on our streets and in the parks..right down at street level where your arse drags on the ground and everyday blends into the next without meaning, and are looked down upon with shame and disgust..notice i said SHAME? and some of you you sit there and go ‘hmmm’ inside your conscience, but what can I do? you say.
Lucky enough to have a job?..hate it or not..it’s dollars in the pocket each week you never had..to feed your children and provide for the family…and when you at the employed level, mortgage on the house and car payments, rates and bills, it can be hard to manage even on average wages..but what could you really do?

I got a late one last night from a murrie mob I look after…a lady (with an eye knocked out from a fight) and her man…and a friend that looks after both best he can..a man i admire greatly..they were needing a feed..(lots more to the story but thats none of your biz..)
Sunday is a quiet day and it’s hard to get a free feed somewhere…
So I cooked up snags, made hot choccy and soup and went shared a feed for an hour or so..not a bad evening..all the week before it rained for a few days and nights..
Where were we?….camped in a garden behind a row of bushes for the night in the main street…there’s 3-4 places to camp around the streets, now and then police and security move them on…from one place to the other…
Another night….freezing cold..
2 disabled chaps, one’s a carer…both ill, on medication and suffering from the cold late at night…one chap had bleeding ulcers over his legs..was sick and looking for a truck to step in front of.
no where to go…just wanted a shower and feed..bed for the night..
and it goes on..
The lives of faceless people going nowhere..

Ain’t they a pain the arse?….nutters, trollers, fruitloops and morons…doesn’t matter where you go…what blog or forum you join, there is always some fruitloop that wants to give you a hard time..you get used to them after a while…if it’s your forum or blog, one click and their burnt toast…but not if your the one being hassled or trolled on…and you don’t have that magic button…
I’m used to the odd moron that wants to give me grief…fkd if i know why..but i come across them…women are the worst…get on the wrong side of them and they’ll haunt you for ever…a bloke just throws a few threats around…women connive…plan….the claws are out,

Nooo….I don’t want to rehash all the rehashed theories and scenarios of the Corby Story..Everyone knows all about it I’m sure… And we all have our own views on it..but it is an Issue that won’t go away..

I’ve followed the case from day one and actually was a staunch supporter..true blue..fairdinks and all that…time passes and a lot comes out..i still go the baggage handler theory…there’s more plusses on her side than negatives. But I do feel for her and her family very much..It was a huge media circus of the century..and schapelle was the star..ridiculed and demoralised in front of the world…very sad..
So..If your a supporter that totally believes in her innocence…

It’s not really whether she is guilty or not anymore…thats all past and gone..Now its about the 20 year bit..I still think that really sucks…for a bag of herb..(a slightly large one) But hey..what can you do in a corrupt country with no money? And then we have claims of mental illness? highly possible..If you get a long sentence, you go through stages of settling in..one of those stages is not losing the plot, if you do they put you drugs that keep you zonked for a while untill you either get it together to survive..or you pull the pin..gotta keep hoping..
So, don’t come here just to shitcan her and denegrate the family…she’s still a human being with a loving family that cares about her…and she’s one of us…Your welcome to put your personal views on it all and argue the point..just no throwin bottles…

Homeless lose emergency shelter

THERE will be no emergency accommodation for homeless men anywhere between Brisbane and Maryborough after the St Vincent de Paul Society closes the only shelter at Nambour next Friday.
SVDP officials have made the tough decision to close the 23-bed Ozanam House to so they can focus their resources on building a larger facility with funds from the federal government’s stimulus package.
Homeless men could be without any emergency shelter until next Christmas but SVDP chairman for social justice on the Coast, Rob Leach, said there had to be “some pain for a gain”.
“(The men) are going to be disappointed but we are doing our best,” Mr Leach said. “It is an unfortunate reality. We regret the pain but we don’t see we have any choice in the matter.”

Now there’s a first class maggot…How the hell can this guy get housing whenever?..yet right now, there is a family of 9 living it rough in a tent at a showground? in torrential rain and harsh weather…they have done nothing wrong but suffer hardship…. yet they can’t get somewhere safe and warm to live…WHY?
[excerpt] We are a little (a lot) sceptical about anyone being able to help us at this stage. We have been through the Salvos, Vinnies, Centrelink, the local church, department of housing and had 3 articles in the local paper. The Sunshine Coast Daily has really hung us out to dry and caused so much heart ache to our family by publishing a very biased and incomplete account of our situation which has lead to many nasty Sunshine Coast people saying some really horrible things about us. Comments published online by ill-informed citizens have gone further to tarnishing our reputation as decent hard working people and the Department of Housing has rung every agency in the area and none of them are willing to rent to us.
We have had a number of media agencies contact us to do a story on our situation and honestly, my family just can’t endure the condemnation any further. We are worn down and exhausted to the point of tears whenever we try to speak about our situation and frustrated by the general public’s lack of compassion for large families

Evidently pedophiles are more important than families with special needs children? The housing dept are supposed to be trying to help…what a load of crap…they could have done something immediatly…there are special allowances for certain people…why can’t this family get it?
homelessness is not black and white…anyone can be homeless, this is a mixed family that has stuck together and done the best they can for their children,

some of you people have no idea what goes on around you, as long as you have your 4wd and a fancy home and santa comes every year you think life is great….and everyone else should be able to do it too…

Today you need at least $5000 to move into a home, there is the bond..rent in advance, utilities to put on..and when all thats paid…you need food to put in the fridge, if you have one….
we have people move into a house..all paid up..but no food or furniture…
I’m part of a team that supply food hampers to those in need in our area through our group, and just the other day I went to a home that was once a millionairs life…..the financial crash a couple of years ago has left them with nothing….they paid all their bills and workers off…they owe nobody anything, but now they needed food to eat to get through xmas…
anyone can be homeless…we should never judge people untill we look into them…
Using Slang and Name Calling..

An issue came up on my forum…bout all these names we are calling each other…whether it’s the colour of ones skin, or their religion…we all cop it..
Thing with us aussies are, we are a naturally friendly mob..
I had an aboriginal friend i called chocco..another frizzy haired friend was called fungus..I worked with mates i called wogs and dago’s….and so on…..there was no insult there…nothing degrading meant….
But…..I would never call a dark skinned people ‘blacks, coons or that other word starting with ‘N’…..
Now we have ‘towel heads, slopes, slants and rice munchers’ to me, those names are an insult and degrading to describe someone thats different…hmmm
I don’t think as aussies, we have a nick name do we?..I know each state has a nick for people…but the whole country?what do people from other parts of the world call us? apart from a bunch of wankers, piss heads and sunburnt yobbo thong wearers…I think it has a lot to do with how we use these ‘pet’ names,
Some blokes can be standing about the shed havin a beer and a puff…talkin a bit of shit….and the air is blue with language…and the ‘F’ and ‘C’ words are flying about..all is ok calling each other ya ‘effin’ mad C…..or those crazy C…but if you hear the words put together that says your a F..C..! or I reckon your a C….then it’s on for young and old…. follow that?..
It’s how the words are used….I get called an old bastard…..or a funny C….doesn’t bother me at all….oddly enough there is stll respect among name calling and swearing.
I’ve been told i take liberties sometimes….maybe its just me, but i call most fella’s ‘mate…or ‘bloke….at least untill they do something wrong…then they become an arsehole….and it’s not funny being n arsehole…no-one likes you…
Ladies anything from ‘maam…madam…but mostly ‘hon…or darlin’ whether i know them or not, no offence meant….and if they do the wrong thing..they become a ‘bitch’….(even though i don’t like that word) some blokes call their lady..’my bitch’…sounds tough..but not nice…
And ‘paki’…why not….and a muslim is a mussie…..and on it rolls on people…the main thing is the ‘respect’ exists…whatever planet you come from..

I came across this on the net..it’s been around for a while…but it ses just how it is..
IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT.
Take It Or Leave It! I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the ‘politically correct’ crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.
I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Australia.However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of Australia being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.
As Australians, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, Learn the language!
‘In God We Trust’ is our National Motto.
This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented.
It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.
If the Southern Cross offends you, or you don’t like ‘A Fair Go’, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don’t care how you did things where you came from.
This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our National Motto, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom,’THE RIGHT TO LEAVE!
If you aren’t happy here then move on! We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.

Lot of problems in this country pertaining to immigration, boat people, refugees and all the rest entering our country with no idea how to handle our open and friendly way of life, and we have no idea how to handle them…admit it now…
So has anyone asked our indigenous lot how they feel about how the place has gone to shit? did they have any say when the borders were opened to every Abdul, Ali, Mufti, and whoever..
We had enough problems that were being dealt with over many bloody long years, but we were getting somewhere…then the immigration opened the borders for the world to move in..?
